Prof Fabiano Thompson from the Institute of Biology - Health Science Center at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) is visiting Gipsi Lima Mendez (Biology, Narilis) in the frame of a joint project.

Short Biography:
Oceanographer (1997) University of Rio Grande. PhD Biochemistry (2003) Ghent University. Professor in UFRJ (2006). Fellow researcher of the Brazilian Research Council, and the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. https://www.thompsonlab.com.br/

He is involved in global ocean projects in the context of climate change and is happy to give a talk on "Biodiversity in the great Amazon reef system".
