Frédéric Silvestre (URBE) participates in a round table discussion HECTOR on the topic "Science, media and society". Three academics and the journaliste Arnaud Ruyssen (La Première/RTBF) present their views on the compulsion for visibility, the danger of ultra-crepidarianism, the difficulty of getting a correct and precise message across, the (irritating?) prevailing position of "intellectuals". Together, and with the public (you?), they will reflect on the mission of scientists, between research and transmission. This meeting is a continuation of the reflections made in episode 4 of the podcast HECTOR, "Parole d'experts", which deals with the evolution of the role of academics and their role in society.
