ILEE is happy and proud to organise the 17th annual EcoBIM conference for the first time in Belgium, at Namur from 11 to 13 May 2022 under the guidance of Frédéric Silvestre (URBE). Participants from all over the world, such as France, Canada, Tunisia, Morocco, Switzerland, Algeria, Benin, and of course Belgium, are expected.

The international EcoBIM network brings together research teams from the French-speaking world in bilateral collaborative actions in the field of aquatic ecotoxicology on a transatlantic axis. The Network also includes among its members actors from the economic and cultural world: operators of aquaculture resources, parks, aquariums, etc.

The general theme of EcoBIM 2022 will be "the long-term effects of aquatic pollutants".

We all remember the images of oiled birds during an oil spill. These events represent a major threat to ecosystems and human health. In addition to these one-off events, the continuous and widespread release of thousands of different chemicals into the environment now makes chemical pollution a global change issue. It is therefore important to assess the long-term risks to natural ecosystems and humans. This long-term risk assessment approach will be the central theme of the 17th EcoBIM conference.
