ILEE Research Day

The annual scientific meeting of the members of ILEE.
  • When Mar 30, 2026 from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM (Europe/Brussels / UTC200)
  • Where Quai 22, Rue du Séminaire 22, Namur
  • Add event to calendar iCal

Another successful edition of the ILEE Reserach Day with presentation of extremely high quality, representing the large variety of topics investigated. Congratulations to all speakers for their engagement and professionalism! This was further reflected in the ranking of the jury of all students giving a talk. Nevertheless, for a second time, Arunima Sikder (Biology) won the price for the best presentation with her very entertaining speech on how to better survive fluctuating stress situations! (She will defend her thesis this year, so the cards will be reshuffled next time!)

Participants further enjoyed the talk on the importance of history when it comes to soil pollution by this year's key note speaker Dr Arnaud Péters. He gave a very inspiring overlook on the work that historians contribute to determine the pollution of former industrial sites, risks of pollution caused by industrial practices, and what the impacts that are still relevant to date.

Among the ~50 participants were quite a few (master) students who had the chance to listen to excellent research presentations and chat with the members of ILEE during coffee and lunch time.

Have a look at all pictures of the day, many thanks to our precious photographers Julie Hétru & Liévin Castellain (Biology)!
