With Jelena Luyts (Geography) and Anthony Mathiron (Biology)

Jelena Luyts (Geography, team of Sabine Henry) is interested in environmental migration. She focusses on the (risk) perception of environmental change by the rural population of Senegal, and how it influences the decision to migrate. At the moment, she concentrates on the household and the importance of external factors at different levels. Her project is a collaboration with Etienne Piguet, University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland.

After a PhD focusing on the behavioural strategies and their hormonal mediation in a parasitoid wasp (Tours, France), Anthony Mathiron (Biology, team of Frédéric Silvestre) now explores the hormonal and epigenetic mechanisms underlying behavioural plasticity in the mangrove rivulus.
