In the frame of the student's course on Aquatic biodiversity (SBOEM123), given by Brendan Reid and Frederik De Laender (Biology), two interesting guest speakers are invited. An occasion to invite all ILEE members to benefit from the presence of specialists in their field and listen to their lessons!

Second speaker:

Frederic Cherot (Service Public de Wallonie) will inform about the structure of macroinvertebrate communities in major Walloon rivers such as the Scheldt, Meuse and Sambre which has undergone profound changes over the last half-century. The available historical data, the monitoring methodologies used at regional level and the factors involved, as well as some of their consequences, will be briefly discussed and illustrated, with a particular focus on the Meuse.
