In the frame of the student's course on Aquatic biodiversity (SBOEM123), given by Brendan Reid and Frederik De Laender (Biology), two interesting guest speakers are invited. An occasion to invite all ILEE members to benefit from the presence of specialists in their field and listen to their lessons!

Please note the (unusual) time and place!

 

First speaker: 

Jos Snoeks (KU Leuven & Africa Museum - Tervuren) will talk about his work on the biodiversity of (African) fish, starting with an overview of the major groups of fishes in an evolutionary context and then illustrate some of the challenges in studying fish diversity with examples from their research on the ichthyofauna of African freshwaters.
