Prof. Diaga Diouf

Cheikh Anta Diop University, Senegal

Diaga is the supervisor of Ousmane Niang (URBE, Biology, doing a PhD thesis with Alice Dennis) in Senegal, working on crop production and drought tolerance.

The goal of my research is to understand the molecular mechanisms that control drought tolerance in orphan crops using OMIC approaches, breeding methods and bioinformatics tools. This will lead to the development of smart-climate orphan crops to contribute to improve food security.
