Nicolas Dendnocker (Geography):

"The IPBES Values Assessment - Results and criticisms”

IPBES, or the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, is to biodiversity what the IPCC is to climate. One of the latest IPBES reports examines how the different values of Nature are or are not integrated into environmental policy-making. In particular, it emphasizes that the current environmental crisis is in fact linked to a crisis of values. In this presentation, I will have the opportunity to discuss and substantiate these statements. I will also talk about what it means for a researcher to work for an international body like IPBES and answer your questions.
